John (Jay) was born and raised in Cheorkee, Iowa. Following graduation from Washington High School he atteneded the University of Iowa where he received a degree in business. Shortly thereafter he attended Hamline Law School in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated in 1986. Jay returned to Cherokee to work with his father. Jay is the third generation of family attorneys to join Loughlin Law Firm.
Jay is married to his wife Mollie and has four children.
Jay is a member of the Cherokee County and Iowa Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in The State of Iowa and The United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
John is a life long resident of Cherokee. After graduation from Washington High School in 2003, he attended the University of Iowa where he received his B.B.A in Marketing. In 2007 John moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he attended Creighton University School of Law. John received his Juris Doctor in 2010 with a concentration in Litigation. Soon after, John moved back to Cherokee to join the family firm.
John is married and has two children.
John previously served as the District 3A Govenor for the Iowa State Bar Association and currently serves as the 3A YLD representative for the ISBA.
John is a member of the Cherokee County and Iowa Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in The State of Iowa and The United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
